Reportedly, the actor had been trying to free his family’s home after a massive snowstorm when the plowing machine, called a Snowcat, rolled over one of Renner’s legs. The injury caused a great deal of blood loss, though one of his neighbors, a doctor, was able to tourniquet the leg while awaiting paramedics. Another source also noted that besides the leg and blood loss, Renner had received additional injuries to other parts of his body, which they called “extensive.”
